Jeep has unveiled 2019 Renegade facelift at Turin Motor Show this week
The facelift maintains the look of the existing model but new LED head lamps and tail lamps make it more appealing . From the front it has a redesigned bumper with led fog lamps. Indicators on fender are covered with white fascia as a replacement for orange in current model.
At the rear it gets a new tail lamp with ‘X’ shape in a concave panel cover. It really looks fresh without any unnecessary frills. Though Jeep has not published any official images of its interiors, we expect minimalist design approach.
The 2019 Renegade will be powered by a new 1.0-liter inline-3 cylinder petrol engine delivering 120 bhp for better fuel efficiency and it is very crucial for market like India, where a normal car buyer is obsessed with fuel economy figures (“ kitna deti hai?”). The 2019 renegade will also be available in 1.3-liter inline-4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 150 and 180bhp outputs. Jeep indicates more information will be shared later this month.
The Renegade has gained a lot of success since its launch in 2015 globally and we are yet to witness its launch in India. This will be going head to head with Hyundai Creta , Renault Duster and Ford Eco Sport. We anticipate that Jeep will only offer the facelift version of the Rengade in India.
