The Redditch Red edition of Royal Enfield classic 350 now features a disc brake at rear as well. Just before this only Gunmetal Grey Edition featured a double disc brake setup. Just like Gunmetal Grey, the Redditch edition with both end disc setup is priced at Rs. 1.47 lac (ex- showroom, Delhi). Both the bikes cost around Rs. 8000 more than the standard rear drum versions.
By far, the Classic 350 is the most popular model of the company. As per the company, the average produce is 50,000 units every month. The motorcycle is powered by the 346cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine making 19.8 horses and 28 Nm of torque, mated to a 5 speed gearbox.
The Classic 350 is based on a single downtube frame and gets a disc brake setup or 280mm and 240mm on the front and rear end respectively. The brake setup is inherited from the one offered on the 500cc range of Enfield bikes. In international markets the 500cc brake setup also features dual-channel ABS, while in India there is no ABS option offered so far.
