The Italian manufacturer announced that Ducati Scrambler 1100 will make debut in Indian market on 27th of August.
The new Ducati Scrambler 1100 will be the most powerful and expensive bike from the Scrambler family.
The launch has been announced by the company on its social media channels. The flagship model of the Scrambler range will make its way in the Indian bike market on 27th August. As per the dealers, the bike will be priced around Rs. 11 lac (ex-showroom) for the base variant. However, a few dealers have already started taking bookings for the upcoming beast.
The bike is powered by a 1,079cc, L-twin motor that churns out 86 horses of power at 7,500rpm and 88 Newtons of torque at 4,750rpm, mated to a six speed gearbox while the standard Scrambler produces 74 horses and 67 Newtons of torque.
The Scrambler 1100 carries forward the basic styling of standard Scrambler with few changes. With the under-seat twin exhausts, muffler and a new headlight, Ducati also offers cornering ABS and a four-level traction control system. The Scrambler 1100 gets a ride-by-wire throttle setup and three riding modes – Active, Journey and City. The display has been updated and now features a second pod, which helps display read all the information that come with the new electronics. Talking about suspension, the bike features a fully adjustable 45mm USD fork from Marzocchi and a preload/rebound-damping adjustable mono-shock unit from Kayaba. Braking is taken care by the radically mounted twin-disc brakes with four-piston from Brembo.
In the international market, the Scrambler 1100 is available in three variants – Standard, Sport and Special. We expect that all the three variants will be available to the customers in India after a while, the company might offer only the Standard variant for now.
