Jorge Lorenzo signs an agreement with Honda to join fellow world champion Marc Marquez for next two years.

Team Repsol Honda recently confirmed that it would not be retaining its long-time rider Dani Pedrosa this year. Now, the Japanese manufacturer is about to announce a two year deal with Lorenzo soon.

The €4 million agreement is believed to have been reached in principle even before the first win of Lorenzo with Ducati at Mugello circuit.

Lorenzo, has won three Moto-GP titles with Yamaha but had a struggle in his time with team Ducati, ruled the Italian Grand Prix last Sunday, but he also admits that the title came “too late” to retain the relation with the Italians (Ducati).

Honda negotiated with several other riders for the second seat at the factory team and re-signed Marquez on a new deal in January this year.

Just before Honda’s action Lorenzo was very close to sign a deal with Yamaha for a satellite bike for 2019.

The Caballero has now been taken away by Honda and no current team on the grid officially has a satellite Yamaha deal firmed up for next year.

What do you think is going to happen when number 99 gets on a Honda? Will he win?
