Ferrari unveils name of its all new SUV

World’s most popular sports car manufacturer Ferrari reveals name of its upcoming SUV

Good luck trying to pronounce it.

The Italian giants announced its future palns, which confirms that 15 new models will hit the market by 2022. A lot of them will be powered by hybrid motors and one will feature a new body style i.e. Ferrari’s first ever SUV.

Louis Carey Camilleri, CEO of Ferrari confirmed that the SUV will be called Purosangue, which means thoroughbred. However, it is still a Ferrari and will deliver the driving dynamics these Italian giants are renowned for.

Earlier the Purosangue was expected to be launched by 2020 to compete with Lamborghini Urus and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. It will now be seen in market by 2022. “The delay will enable ferrari to get it perfect” says Camilleri.

Don’t misinterpret it as just a SUV though. Ferrari describes it as a four-door utility vehicle also named as FUV (Ferrari utility vehicle). Camilleri told investors that “I abhor hearing SUV in the same sentence as Ferrari. As a die hard Ferrarista, I was a little skeptical when the concept was first voiced at the board. Having now seen the wonderful design and the extraordinary features I am a hugely enthusiastic supporter.”

The company also provided some technical details about its first SUV. The Purosangue will be offered in two variants, one of which is the complete internal combustion engine and the other one will be a hybrid motor. However, it is the Ferrari’s first car to featurd 5 doors, it will get a sleek coupe-style shape, that will be a little smaller than its main rival, the Lambo Urus. The company claims it to be the fastest and best handling vehicle in its class.

With the upcoming 15 new models, Ferrari is aiming to increase the profit. This will also help Ferrari  to boost its profits.
