The XPulse 200 will hit the Indian Markets by December 2018, says Hero Motocorp
The Gurgaon based manufacturer recently launched Xtreme 200R, followed by the launch of 2 scooters which puts a halt for the launch of the much awaited XPulse 200. A Hero Motocorp official said- ‘We’re focusing on the Xtreme 200R, Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125 launches. Once we are through this, our focus will shift towards the XPulse launch which we are really excited about”.
Being a small capacity adventure bike, the XPulse features an off-road style front mud guard, visor, hand guards and engine sump guard. The suspension gets a travel of 190mm on the front end and the rear end gets a 10-step adjustable mono-shock with a travel of 170mm. Also the bike gets a good ground clearance of 200mm. The power comes from the same engine as in Xtreme 200R which churns out 18.4 horses of power and a peak torque of 17.1 Newtons. Also the bike gets a capacity of 14-litre fuel, which is quite decent for a small capacity adventure bike.
It is expected that the bike will be priced under a lac (ex-showroom). Also there is no direct competition for XPulse in the Indian bike market. This could be a game changer for the entry level adventure bikes in India.
