Shell out close to INR 5000/- more compared to the carb version even though power figures remain the same.
A new FI variant of Suzuki Intruder 150 is being launched by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturing company. Suzuki has priced it at Rs. 1.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Last year, when this 150cc cruiser bike – the Intruder – was launched, it directly gave tough competition to the Bajaj Avenger. With a strong ground level hold that Suzuki has got with the Gixxer 150, the company has already sold around 15,000 units of its baby cruiser in India.
The young cruiser shares its styling cues with its elder and much powerful sibling, the Intruder M1800R. The bike is equipped with features like front and rear LED lights, digital instrument cluster and ABS.
Since other rival manufacturers are offering their bikes in various paint schemes, Suzuki has decided to help their customers in getting less confused providing with only 2 colour options i.e. Black and Silver.
As Gixxer, the Intruder too is powered by the same 4-stroke, air-cooled, 15Bhp motor mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The bike uses telescopic suspensions at the front and swing arm type at the rear. The big and bulky Intruder along with the fuel injection system has 6 sensors that calculate how much fuel does your bike consume.
Since Suzuki has entered a market mainly dominated by Bajaj, followed by Royal Enfield, it looks like it may have done just enough to get the ball rolling by the initial response to the Intruder 150.
