The all new premium commuter, Hero Xtreme 200R is priced at Rs. 88,000/- (ex-showroom) and the first lot was delivered recently in Guwahati. The Hi-Speed Hero Dealership shared the images of customers taking deliveries of bikes on their Facebook page. The company had been teasing the customers since a long time and finally here is the first set. The company’s official website shared the on-road prices of 7 North Eastern states and West Bengal, while the prices of other states cities are still not disclosed.
Hero Xtreme 200R comes with a 200 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve engine, which produces 18.1 Bhp of power and peak torque of 17.1 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, and the suspension setup uses telescopic forks up front with a mono-shock unit at the rear end. The bike uses a single channel ABS disc brake setup at the front and a standard disc brake at the rear.
The all new Hero Xtreme 200R also features a combination of analogue and digital instrument cluster, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, dual-tone body graphics, and tubeless tyres. Also the bike comes features a 12.5 litre fuel tank, which is quite decent for the fuel range on the motorcycle. Moreover, Hero MotoCorp is offering a five-year warranty period on the Xtreme 200R.
The company has cleverly played with the pricing of the bike, as it competes with both 160cc and 200cc the most rabble segments of Indian bike market. The Xtreme 200R competes with 160-180cc bikes like CB Hornet 160, FZ V2.0 and Suzuki Gixxer with the pricing, and 200cc bikes like Pulsar 200NS and Apache 200 4V which are priced over Rs. 10,000/- than this.
